Architects Mosher Drew is pleased to announce two recently completed adaptive re-use projects at Grossmont Community College were awarded LEED certification!
The Grossmont Student Services Administration is certified GOLD, and the Grossmont Griffin Center is certified SILVER.
The departments within the 37,000 sq. ft. Grossmont Student Services building provide a “one-stop” service center where all departments are accessible off the main atrium style lobby. The Grossmont Student Services building includes: Financial Aid, Cashier, Admissions and Records, Veterans Affairs, Transfer Center, Counseling, College and Community Relations, Foundation, International Students and Assessment Office.
The 46,700 sq. ft. Grossmont Griffin Center is designed to encourage student interaction through exposure by bringing circulation through the building with courtyards, patios and plazas. The project involved a number of diverse departments co-locating in one facility. The Griffin Center includes: Health Services, Student Affairs, Culinary Arts, Career Center, DSPS, EOPS, and Food Service.
