Architecture is a shared endeavor.
We craft innovative solution which enrich programmatic and sensory intent, engage the greater community and achieve tangible success.
Architects Mosher Drew (AMD) was founded in 1948 by Robert Mosher, FAIA, and Roy Drew, AIA, and we will be celebrating 70 years of service in the Southern California region in 2018. Our firm has enjoyed the honor of authoring numerous landmark projects in the San Diego Area, including the Coronado Bridge, UCSD Math and Science Building, SDSU Love Library, and the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.
The firm has three principals – William A. Magnuson, AIA, Edward M. Holakiewicz, AIA, and Benjamin V. Meza, AIA, LEED AP. AMD has a staff of fifteen professionals, including seven licensed to practice architecture. Architects Mosher Drew believes design of ‘Architecture for Education’ is a shared endeavor, applying our talents and expertise to reinforce the specific academic objectives of the schools and districts we partner with. To create meaningful places for student intellectual growth, we incorporate principals of humanistic design with each academic interior and exterior environment we plan and create. This includes fostering sensory connections between occupants and their environment, and heightening awareness that stimulates thought and social interaction. We promote elemental concepts of ‘Biophillic Design’ such as integrated natural daylight, views, spatial diversity and flexibility.
We consider human comfort in selection of finishes and materials, colors and textures, and graphics. Combined with attention to long term cost of ownership and programmatic needs for adaptability, our designs advocate activities that stimulate and energize the learning experience.
Architects Mosher Drew is a full service architecture and interior design firm. As a professional service organization, we work toward providing each client the most appropriate project designs.
